After getting laid off during a career that spanned 17 years, what’s next? Dive into a new corporate job? Embrace the freelance life? Or maybe juggle a few part-time gigs at once? The latter has been my reality, and let’s just say it’s been a real mixtape of experiences (and emotions).

Speaking of gigs, I’ve scored one that’s really special to me – I’m now the Office Manager and Digital Strategist at Sandy Paws Veterinary Clinic. My current mission is to rally the community and finally open the new clinic that will take us out of a mobile unit and into a brick-and-mortar that our clients call “a palace.” We’ve been working on this since summer, but our certificate of occupancy is playing hard to get. Anyone from a small town knows this tune all too well.

So, here’s where we need a bit of that community magic. It’s time to band together – yes, that means you too, internet warrior! Pet owners, animal lovers, or just fans of Montauk, your support could be the game-changer. Let’s try to keep the Sarah McLachlan songs at bay, shall we?
